Episode #24: Blueprints Agency & Thanks-For-Giving Community Day

On this month's episode, the Greene County Commissioners invited members from the Blueprints Agency to talk about their services. Blueprints is a change agency that shapes futures by equipping and educating people to improve their lives.
Also discussed on this month's episode was the Greene County Thanks-For-Giving Community Day, which is a Health Human Services, seniors, veterans, and resource fair held at the Greene County Fairgrounds.

Episode #23: The Good Old-Fashioned Halloween Party

On this month's episode, the Greene County Commissioners invited Lauren Chambers from the Early Intervention Program to speak about their services, along with providing insight into the eagerly anticipated "Good Old-Fashioned Halloween Party". The Early Intervention Program provides developmental and educational services to Greene County children younger than three years old who have developmental delays.

Episode #22: Centerville Clinics

On this month's episode, the Greene County Commissioners met with two representatives from Centerville Clinics to discuss the wide range of services they provide for our community.
 
Centerville Clinics is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), a non-profit community based health organization. An FQHC provides comprehensive primary care, dental and mental health services to people in all spectrums of their life. Centerville Clinics also assists patients to access specialty and hospital care services not available at the center.

Episode #21: Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania

On today's episode, the Greene County Commissioners met with a few representatives of Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania to discuss the important works they do for our county.
The mission of Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania is to increase awareness of domestic violence and its effect on the community, to empower those victimized by providing advocacy and safe and effective services, and to work for social change designed to eliminate domestic violence.

Episode #20: Answering Your Questions About Wisecarver

On today's episode, the Greene County Commissioners answer some of your questions about the upcoming Wisecarver Recreation Area while onsite at the park!
Featuring guest speakers Jeremy Kelly (Greene County Planning & Community Development) and Bret Moore (Director of Parks & Recreation), they go into great detail about the future plans of the area, as well as lay out the processes by which the County is developing the park.

Episode #19: The Greene County Career & Technology Center

On this month's episode, the commissioners welcome Mark Krupa (Administrative Director) and Stacey Wheaton (Director of Practical Nursing Program) from the Greene County Career & Technology Center to discuss their nursing programs.
Greene County Career & Technology Center (GCCTC) is an educational facility founded in 1970 and located in southwest Pennsylvania, just off I-79. Offering 11 professional programs to high school and adult students from five local school districts, GCCTC has a program to match nearly every career and educational goal. Career-minded students can take advantage of important career training and employment opportunities offered through the school, as well as certifications offered in their program areas.

Episode #18: The Conservation District GRACE Program

On this month's episode, we welcome Lisa Snider and Tiffany Stewart from the Greene County Conservation District to discuss the GRACE Program. Designed for both new and existing farmers, this program offers valuable technical assistance and cost-share options to promote soil and water conservation practices.

Episode #16: Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club & Our Intellectual & Developmental Disability Program

On this month's episode, the Greene County Commissioners met with Andrea Semenoff, Cheryl Voytek, and Beth Weaver from the Carmichaels Women's Civic Club, as well as Deneen Shrader from the Greene County Intellectual & Developmental Disability Program. During their discussion, they address the duties and responsibilities of each organization, as well as the services offered to the county's residents.

Episode #15: The Early Intervention & Beverly’s Birthdays Programs

On this month's episode, the Greene County Commissioners met with Lauren Chambers, the Early Intervention Director for Greene County, Megs Yunn, the Founder of Beverly's Birthdays, Amy Gonzalez, the Sr. Community Advisor at Equitrans Midstream Corporation, and Mark Starostanko, the Greene County CYS Agency Director. Today's topic was all about Beverly's Birthdays, a Pittsburgh nonprofit organization that provides birthday celebrations for children experiencing homelessness and for families in-need.

Episode #14: Greene County’s Christmas Parade History & Angel Wings Rescue

The County Commissioners met this month with Barbie McMinn from Angel Wings Animal Rescue and Melody Longstreth from the Greene County Chamber of Commerce to discuss local programs in the county as well as upcoming holiday events. McMinn detailed the work Angel Wings does in rescuing horses, while Longstreth talked about the chambers' efforts to support local events. These events are a great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to come together and enjoy the county during the holidays.
